Thriller Film Opening Ideas.

Narrative:
An unknown person is targeting a group of young people(Amy, Bob, Louise and Alfie). Set in New Orleans, Louisiana, the French Quarters revolves around the mysterious voodoo shop. The disequilibrium erupts when an increasing amount of the young people disappear one by one. Fear strikes in the local community when one of the teens dead body in the woods and the families of the victims begin receiving anonymous letters presumed to be from the killer. In this crime-thriller we see the desperation of loving families and the story from the twisted perspective of a vengeful killer.

Shot by Shot; 
- Point of view shot of image processing in the developer (in the darkroom at Eastbury) 
- Close up shot of key- signifying props that have subliminal messages to the narrative.  
- Point of view shot of a ransom letter being made. 
- Mid shot of pens evenly spaced out (on a table)- connoting the mental state of protagonist. 
- Close up/pan of cable wire and tape- signifying the disequilibrium. 
- Extreme close up's of fragments of the mask. 
- Point of view shot of setting an object or picture on fire 
- Close up/ Point of view shots of the black gloves on the hands of the protagonist. 
- Close up shot of knives 
- Close up of stamps- connoting they going to send the letters 
- Point of view of somebody writing in a book
- Point of view or zoom to a laptop and its content
- Close up of a bottle of pills- connoting again the protagonists insanity and mental state.
- Wide shot of a saw
- Over the shoulder view of baby photos (maybe being ripped) -signifying he/she has been stalking their victims all their lives or was close to them 
- close up of lipstick/nail polish - to show subliminal messages classing the gender of the protagonist.
- Wide shot of protagonist (dressed in black from head to toe) viewing pictures of his/hers victims 
- Point of view shot of protagonist crossing/drawing a line through the eyes of the victims in red- red connoting the blood or danger. 
- pan from- Magazines in which the letters were cut from to ransom letters being made
Our protagonist is a female to subvert Propp's characters and the stereotypical view of women in films.

Mise-en-scene- Props:
