The Todorov's Theory.

What is the Todorov's Theory:
Todorov's narrative theory states that most plots or storylines follow a specific five step pattern/ path:
Equilibrium: This is the first part of the narrative with will clearly display the normal life of the characters, and how everything should be.
Disruption: The second part consists of the narrative featuring a problem or conflict that needs to be solved, disrupting the happiness and normal life.
Recognition: This is the part when the protagonist notices a conflict or issue and works on attempting to repair this damage and restore equilibrium.
New Equilibrium: This is the last stage of the narrative where the conflict has been restored and normality can resume, or a new normality can be made and lives can go on in peace.
